F storm

Tropical depression 6 is likely to become a named storm this afternoon. That name would be Florence. Those F, G and H names seem to really nail NC—Floyd, Gloria, Hazel, Hugo, and Fran come to mind. Last night, the future Florence drifted about 60 miles to the west of where forecasters predicted it would be. So when you look at the historical map, there’s another early September storm that jumps out at you.

Old No. 6 is still a fur piece away and anything can happen, but stay tuned.
